Marshall Park, Charlotte, North Carolina
Marshall Park is a fairly popular place for photographers to visit around Charlotte. And as with all popular photo-op destinations it can be very difficult to create a unique composition of something that's been photographed a gazillion times before. I don't claim this view to be entirely unique but a casual internet search doesn't show me anything quite like it. This composition was literally the first impression I saw when I walked into the park. I worked several other angles to make sure I had covered my bases but came back to this spot for my final serious effort of the night. Where 'color correctness' is concerned, this scene was an absolute white-balance nightmare! It took a little time to clean it all up but I'm quite happy with the results.
